Making it to 12 months as first time parents is one of the biggest milestones for your family. It's such a surreal moment. Like stepping out of the den and feeling the first signs of spring. We survived.

Usually this time of year I'm fully into planning my Christmas sessions. (I know, you're all just getting used to it being summer). But this year I'm way behind and haven't even ordered backdrops.

I can tell you that I have purchased some fully red pjs's for my two boys. And that an "Elf on the shelf" concept is underway. So IF you are willing and able to think ahead, keep full red pyjamas in mind when shopping. 😉 (wink face)

In the meantime, don't forget I am booking studio sessions throughout the summer, as well as outdoor family sessions.

One advantage of having my studio in my home is that I can take pictures of my loved ones over the course of a few days. Also, I can wear my jammies. 😁

This wasn't really true for myself, as my sister and I were more like mortal enemies for a large part of our childhood, and then we became friends and equals later in life. But I see in my children how the oldest is somewhat like a mentor and cautionary tale for the younger two.

What was true for you and your siblings, or for your own children?

Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6) and Airdrie Rockyview Métis District 4.

I will need about 45 minutes of your time.

- capable of following directions
- ability to do your own hair and makeup under my direction
- must sign model release
- must allow children to be posted online
